The Sharon coat

Siio’s Sharon coat deserves far more than a one-line 
description—it is a testament to the brand’s 
craftsmanship and the founder’s eye for modern yet 
timeless tailoring. Launched in 2018, Siio Fashion set out 
to marry Scottish tailoring with African-inspired prints 
and ethically sourced fabrics. The Sharon coat 
encapsulates that ethos by combining classic shapes 
with contemporary practicality. 
Cut from pure wool, the Sharon coat is deliberately 
lighter than many winter overcoats, which means it 
carries through spring and autumn as well. The tailoring 
is sleek: a fitted bodice, softly structured shoulders and 
a knee-skimming hem give it a flattering line, while the 
self-tie belt allows the wearer to cinch it as a wrap coat 
or leave it open for a more relaxed silhouette. 
Practicality hasn’t been forgotten either—the coat has 
deep pockets and is fully lined. In keeping with Siio’s 
emphasis on quality and longevity, the coat is dry-clean 
only, encouraging owners to treat it as an investment piece rather than disposable fashion. 
For those who believe black is the ultimate neutral, the Sharon coat’s black iteration is a 
wardrobe workhorse: it’s priced at £250 and comes in sizes 10–16, working effortlessly over 
bright prints, denim or eveningwear. If you’re looking to make more of a statement, the red 
version (£200) offers the same refined silhouette in a vivid hue. There’s also the Sharon 
Hanningfield wrap coat, which uses a grey and teal check woven from 100 % wool and takes 
the wrap element further with a generous shawl collar and softer, robe-like drape. 
Juliet Ibhanesebhor, Siio’s founder, left her nine-to-five career to raise her children and later 
launched Siio after years of customising promotional goods from home. That 
entrepreneurial spirit shows in the Sharon coat’s versatility. Pair the black version with bold, 
patterned scarves to bring colour to winter days, or wear the red coat over a monochrome 
outfit for a pop of warmth; in spring, throw the check wrap coat over jeans and trainers for
